The Atlantic Economic Panel is listening to Atlantic Canadians. Through provincial sessions, CEO roundtables, public opinion research, and open submissions, the Panel is engaing with hundreds of stakeholders across the region—business leaders, sector experts, academics, Indigenous leaders, and concerned citizens—to gather diverse perspectives on the transformational opportunities that will shape our economic future.

Every Atlantic Canadian has a voice in this process. Whether through formal presentations, roundtable discussions, or written submissions, the Panel is committed to hearing from all corners of our region as we work together to identify actionable recommendations that will drive economic growth and opportunity.

Provincial Sessions

The Panel is convening multi-day provincial engagement sessions in each Atlantic province, bringing together government officials, industry associations, academic leaders, and sector experts to present their insights and recommendations. These intensive sessions featured presentations from dozens of organizations representing critical minerals, energy, defence, ocean industries, AI and technology, and cross-cutting economic priorities. Each session is providing the Panel with deep expertise and regional perspectives essential to understanding the unique opportunities and challenges facing Atlantic Canada.

In each provincial capital, the Panel is hosting intimate CEO roundtables with leading business executives from across Atlantic Canada. These focused discussions allow the Panel to hear directly from those driving economic growth in our region, gathering practical insights on barriers to investment, workforce challenges, regulatory environments, and emerging opportunities. The roundtables are fostering candid dialogue about what Atlantic Canadian businesses need to compete and scale globally.

Understanding how Atlantic Canadians view our region's economic future is central to the Panel's work. Through public opinion research, the Panel has gathering insights into regional sentiment, priorities, and aspirations—ensuring the recommendations reflect not just what experts think, but what Atlantic Canadians believe about our economic potential.

Submissions to the Panel

The Panel wants to hear from all Atlantic Canadians, inviting written submissions from businesses, organizations, and individuals across the region. This open call is generating responses from diverse voices—from large employers to small enterprises, from community organizations to individual entrepreneurs—each offering unique perspectives on regional economic opportunities. Every submission will be reviewed by Panel members and will inform our deliberations.
