Atlantic Economic Panel

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

The Atlantic Economic Panel invites sector associations and councils across Atlantic Canada to contribute brief written submissions identifying transformational opportunities that can accelerate regional growth. Your insights will help shape approaches to regional competitiveness and prosperity. Please address the following seven questions in your submission

Sector Submissions

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
What is the top transformational opportunity in your sector that could accelerate growth across Atlantic Canada? Are there others that you would like to highlight? (Maximum three in total)
What key factors, drivers, or changes would enable your sector to seize these opportunities most effectively? What steps could foster greater collaboration within your sector across Atlantic provinces?
What are the main barriers (including regulatory) to the sustained growth and development of the major opportunities identified for your sector?
Please quantify the identified opportunity—include estimates of investment required, the potential number of jobs created, the contribution to GDP, potential return on investment (ROI), and other relevant metrics.
What is the expected timeline or horizon for these opportunities to materialize? (Short-term: 1–3 years, medium-term: 3–7 years, long-term: 7+ years)
What specific actions from the private sector, government or other stakeholders, would best support the realization of these opportunities?
How would your big idea change the kinds of jobs we have, the skills we need, or the wages workers could expect?
Finally, please share any other practical recommendations you may have not already contained in your previous answers.

Your expertise and perspective are vital to advancing prosperity in Atlantic Canada. We look forward to your contributions.
